Mc No ID IS one of the hosts of the Circuit Core Radio Show, live every last friday of the month on
Gabber.fm, so we decided to call him and have a talk
Interview by Chem D
Q. Welcome, introduce yourself
A. My name is Dion also known as MC NO-ID, I’m hosting mainly Frenchcore areas at festivals and parties, I'm 26, dutch, living in Utrecht.
Q. How the hell did you end up hosting the Circuit Core Radio show ?
A. It was in your studio, we were recording some vocals for our track (Chem D ft MC NO-ID - Break It Down) and on a break, while we were having fun with mark, we had this totally idiotic idea to make an afterparty radio show. After a few weeks you asked me to host this show, so yeah i’m.... pretty excited to do it
Q. What is your function as a master of ceremony (MC) ?
A. I think my function is mostly to introduce djs and to keep the vibe going and creating a certain atmosphere that people can enjoy.
Q. I see you are hosting the silver stage at Defqon.1 for the second year in a row, personally, I have a great memory of the Defqon.1 festival where i played myself last year, but overall, what is the party or festival in which you most enjoyed yourself as an artist or visitor ?
A. Yeah true, this year also I’m pretty happy to perform at Defqon.1 on the silver stage , but the festival I mostly enjoyed as a visitor is I think... let me think... I think it was Hardkingz on Kingsday, it was really fun because a lot of friends were there with me, so yeah that was pretty cool... No wait... I think it’s Tomorrowland that was awesome (laughs ), it was on a Sunday , the day before I hosted the Frenchcore stage at Dominator but yeah... I was fucked up (laughs) and we went right thru to Belgium to Tomorrowland , it was pretty cool
Q. How was the studio experience for you what is the difference between stage and studio ?
A. I think it’s really weird because I had to learn a lot in the studio and Francesco, F.Noize, told me some stuff that I had to do , it was pretty good to have him there, and, the difference is that on stage you get direct feedback from the audience, that kind of feedback you do not have in the studio.
Q. What can we expect from the Circuit Core Radio shows ?
A. Lots of fun, great music of course and some load of bullshit, we got Mark and N!ck and those guys are just crazy and yeah, it’s just fun. You are going to have fun for sure.
Q. Ok we are almost at the end, what is your advice to the kids out there who want to start an MC career
A. Just don’t start an MC career, you will find out why when you do (laughs)
Q. Why should a party organization book you and who should they contact ?
A. Why they should book me... (thinks) yeah i dunno.... but you can book me on www.bkjnbookings.com.
Q. Vodka or Gin ?
Q. Dolphins or crocodiles ?
A. I think... crocodiles... yeah ...yeah crocodiles
Q. Do us a shoutout
A. So listen to circuit core radio, because you have to mhkay.... we are gonna have fun, bye!
